At 13:32 on Wednesday, 24 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bales Of Straw Large in Prees Heath.

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Whitchurch.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet
• Portable pump

Fire involving approximately 150 straw bales and 30 square metres of stubble.
