At 18:26 on Friday, 30 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

RTC involving 2 vehicles - 1 person extricated by fire service personnel. Both vehicles made safe by fire service.
