At 15:58 on Tuesday, 23 May, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Report of smoke from engine of car on carpark. The incident was found to be a false alarm caused by a mechanical defect.
