At 09:30 on Sunday, 14 January, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One horse successfully rescued by Fire Service using specialist equipment. A vet was also in attendance.
