Pumping appliances carry scene lighting, air-lifting bags, electric reciprocating saws, salvage sheeting and salvage equipment, chimney rods and stirrup pump, various ropes and lines, and decontamination kit.

Pictured left is a Chimney Fire Kit which consists of stirrup pump, pail, chimney rods and hearth blanket. The kit is used to tackle fires in domestic chimneys and protect the home from water and soot damage.

In addition appliances also carry hand tool kit consisting of spanners, wrenches, Allen keys, pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, chisels and saws. These allow firefighters to carry out various tasks for which heavier equipment is not necessary.
