Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service hold an annual Wholetime firefighter recruitment campaign the time of which can vary.

An advertisement is placed in the Shropshire Star and on this website which includes instructions to follow in order to receive an application pack.

| Successful candidates notified to attend medical | Week commencing 8 June 2009 |
| Medicals | Week commencing 29 June 2009 |
| Successful applicants notified of appointment | 3 July 2009 |
| Induction/Uniform issue | Early September 2009 |
| Recruit Course commences | September 2009 |
If you have not been notified that you are invited to the next stage by the date specified above, then this will indicate that your application has not been successful.
It is essential that all applicants are available for all the above dates to progress through the recruitment procedure.
The dates have been programmed into a strict timetable, therefore individual arrangements cannot be rescheduled.
