Facilities at the Training and Development Centre in Telford comprise a lecture facility, debriefing room, tactical fire fighting facility, hot fire complex and road traffic collision compound. The majority of training that takes place at the Centre is delivered by a specialist team of instructors.

The Shrewsbury Station site contains a breathing apparatus facility and a purpose built facility for the provision of line safety training, delivered by a separate specialist team of instructors.
Satellite facilities are based at retained stations in separate parts of the county; road traffic collision compounds are based in Baschurch, Church Stretton, Cleobury Mortimer, Prees, Wellington and Ludlow. Breathing apparatus facilities are based in Oswestry, Prees and Ludlow.
