Probation
New appointments in the role of Wholetime Firefighter will be subject up to a maximum of 3 years development period commencing from the first day of appointment.
During this period the firefighter will be continually assessed for competence against the occupational standards and continuing employment will be dependent upon successful completion of the development programme and achievement of NVQ Level 3 Operations in the Community within the agreed timescale.
