What will happen to fire certificates?
The introduction of the new Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, will see the repeal of the Fire Precautions Act 1971 and consequently the requirement for certification.
The new Order will come into force in October 2006 and as such, existing fire certificates will cease to have effect from the effective date.
