Managing the Service

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service serves a population of approximately 470,000 people and protects over 210,000 properties. To provide this service the organisation employs approximately 650 staff operating from 23 sites across the county.

The overall purpose of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is to save and protect life, property and the environment from fire and other emergencies. This section details some of the policies, organisation, and planning that help drive the Service towards this goal.
