Events
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service supports a number of regular local equality, diversity and community cohesion events each year. Among these are:
- Holocaust Memorial Day, held nationally in January
- Shrewsbury Action Against Racism’s annual Cultural Diversity Day, usually held in late spring or early summer in the Square, Shrewsbury
- Shrewsbury’s annual ‘Rock Against Racism’ gig, again , usually held in late spring or early summer in different venues
- The Telford Gay Pride event held in August each year
- The Rainbow Festival, celebrating films with a lesbian, gay and bisexual theme, held in Shrewsbury each year
- A range of events celebrating Black History Month in October each year
