The ICT department provides an essential support service to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, ensuring the continuous availability of a business critical communications infrastructure.
Information Communication Technology (ICT) covers three principle areas of responsibility:
- Information systems
- Communications (including Mobile Data)
The department prides itself in keeping the organisation at the forefront of technology developments. Support and assistance is available from the department via the 'helpdesk', by telephone, e-mail, through a visit to the office or by reporting issues requiring assistance through Fire Control.
