Because it is important that people know how they can help themselves and their families in a number of emergencies. The booklet will ensure that people across the UK have practical, common sense information at their fingertips in the event of an emergency.

This is not because of any specific threat but a responsible exercise in ensuring the public is informed in a sensible, practical and helpful way.

8. Where can businesses go for Business Continuity Management advice? ^ Top  

London First produced a leaflet called "Expecting the unexpected" setting out the steps firms can take to prevent and prepare for disruptions. It is freely available at the London Prepared website. Further information on business continuity can be found from organisations such as the Business Continuity Institute, Survive and the Continuity Forum.
