Types of Incident
Please find below a list of the types of incidents that our firefighters regularly attend.
These timescales are only guidelines as each incident is unique and may take a longer or shorter time to attend.

Small fire
including: grass, rubbish, tree(s), shed, bonfire, fence, lamp standard, recycling skip, postbox, road sign, telegraph pole |

Vehicle fire
including: motorbike, car, van, lorry, HGV vehicle, tractor, caravan

Property fire - Domestic
any call to a domestic property fire including where persons are reported trapped |
1 - 2 hours |
Property fire - Commercial
any call to a commercial property fire including farm buildings and barns and where persons are reported trapped |
1 - 3 hours This estimate will depend on the size of the factory / building and the type of goods stored on site. |

RTC
where a call is received which is unable to confirm whether persons are trapped or that multiple vehicles are involved |
1 - 2 hours |
RTC - Services
where a call is received which confirms no persons are trapped but that the services of the Fire Service may be required |
30 minutes - 1 hour |

AFA - Automatic Fire Alarm
Automatic Fire Alarm has actuated at the premises |

| SSC - Special Service Call |
SSC
including: major leak of petrol/diesel, chemical incident, collapse of buildings, rescue of persons from life threatening environment (including silos, rivers etc) |

SSC - Minor
including: animal rescue, minor flooding, minor weather related incidnet, ring removal, minor petrol/diesel leak, recue of persons from non life threatening situation (including lifts), effecting entry, gas leak |
1 - 1.5 hours |
