The type of breathing apparatus used is the Interspiro Spirotroniq Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus which features an on-board computerised monitoring system to allow the firefighter to constantly monitor their air flow and duration.
The fire appliance has 4 or 6 BA sets depending on the type of appliance.
BA set comprises of:
- Backplate
- Harness
- Regulator
- Breathing Valve
- Face Mask
- On-board Computer with Mask Mounted Display
- Safety Line
- Automatic Distress Signal Unit
- 1 cylinder per set : 300 bar (4500 psi) Carbon Fibre Composite Twin Cylinder Packs with Protective Cover
