Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is controlled by the Shropshire and Wrekin Fire and Rescue Authority.

The authority comprises members who are elected councillors appointed by Shropshire County Council and Telford & Wrekin Council. The Fire Authority holds meetings several times a year, covering a variety of areas handled by individual committees. Agendas and minutes of meetings are published here where available.
