Our proposals are presented in two documents. Firstly, the Integrated
Risk Management Plan sets out what your Fire and Rescue Service
deals with and how effectively, as well as describing how we intend
to make even more improvements in Community Safety in the coming
years. Secondly, the IRMP Action Plan for 2004/05
describes in detail the changes being implemented over the coming
year as a consequence of this year’s IRMP process (including
details on the benefits these changes will bring). The evidence
used to support the changes can be found by clicking on the supporting
documents link.
Shropshire and Wrekin Fire Authority consulted on the draft versions
of these documents, with members of the public, other stakeholder
organisations and the staff of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service,
between November 2003 and February 2004. The documents provided
here are modified versions of the original draft documents, reflecting
the changes required as a result of the consultation process.
Details about the consultation process and its results can be
accessed by clicking on the Consultation with Staff and Consultation
with the Public and Stakeholders links below. A copy of the full
Opinion Research Service’s report provided to the Fire Authority,
following the consultation they undertook with members of the public
and stakeholder organisations on behalf of the Authority, is also
attached.
The documents available here are the draft documents used to support
three months of extensive consultation with the public of Shropshire,
other stakeholder organizations and our staff, between August and
November 2004. The feedback obtained from the consultation process
is contained in the Consultation Results documents. Having duly
considered the feedback on its draft proposals, the Fire Authority
is now in the process of making sure the changes required will
be completed prior to the final documents being published in April.
Preparation work has already started in order to ensure the various
projects stipulated in the Action Plan 2005/06 will be implemented
in accordance with the planned timetable.
