Suggested contents:

Bullet icon Portable radio and spare batteries (to keep in touch with local radio stations)
Bullet icon Candles or torch and spare batteries
Bullet icon Alternative cooking equipment (camping gas stove)
Bullet icon Any other items you feel may be necessary eg: medication, extra warm clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, tinned foods etc
