Through the 'promoting safety' section of the website you can access a wide range of literature on fire prevention, ranging from fire safety in the home to much more specialist advice, such as fire safety for caravans, mobile homes or boats. The site also contains details of how you can contact us should you not be able to easily find the information you require.
Whilst the number one priority of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service has for many years been to reduce the number of fires and associated deaths and injuries in the County, we are also responsible for a much wider range of emergency responses including, for example, rescuing people from road traffic collisions, dealing with flooding and water rescue incidents, reducing the risk from chemical spillages and preparing to deal with terrorist incidents wherever they may occur in the United Kingdom. Hopefully this site will allow you to learn how we achieve these wide ranging duties through our highly motivated, well equipped and competent staff, who have long been recognised as providing an excellent service to the public of Shropshire.
Please use our website to improve your safety; there is something for everyone. And, if you have any questions at all, please call us now - don't wait for a fire!
Prevention is our speciality!
