At 23:51 on Sunday, 25 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Newport.

6 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Newport and Prees. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire involving open sided dutch barn in a field, measuing approximately 15 x 9 metres. One hose reel jet to damp down surrounding area and drag rakes in use.
