At 01:04 on Thursday, 1 July, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Two vehicles 50% involved in fire.
