At 11:34 on Monday, 12 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Shed Fire in Montford Bridge.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving burning of waste which spread to 3 sheds and 1 lean to. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet, 1 main jet and 2 breathing apparatus.

• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

This incident involved 10m of conifer hedging and 3 sheds alight. Crews extinguished using 2 hose reel jets, drag rakes and used 1 thermal image camera to check for hotspots.
