At 12:38 on Sunday, 6 March, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Rtc Persons Trapped in Newport.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident involves 1 private saloon vehicle which had collided with road furniture and bridge. 1 casualty in care of ambulance personnel.
