At 13:59 on Saturday, 30 April, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Railway Embankment in Bridgnorth.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Telford Central.

Railway embankment fire. 4 fire crews attended this incident and trains were stopped as crews were working line side. Incident involved embankment fire measuring 50 metres by 20 metres and crews used 5 hose reel jets and 1 misting lance. As of 15:33 crews remain at this incident damping down and the road remains closed.
