At 11:55 on Saturday, 7 May, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of house fire persons reported. Fire crews confirmed all persons were accounted for. Crews used 1 hose reel jet and 2 breathing apparatus.
