Fire In Open

At 22:30 on Saturday, 7 May, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

Fire involving stacked hardwood timber. Extinguished using main jets and reducing wood pile by hand. All hotspots extinguished.
