At 10:31 on Sunday, 10 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wem.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Incident involves field fire approximately 0.6 hectares in size. Crews used hose reel jets and lance from Incident Support Unit to extinguish the fire.
