At 13:08 on Saturday, 16 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Hodnet and Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving grass undergrowth, crews used two hose reel jets and a covering jet to extinguish.
