At 19:44 on Sunday, 17 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Approximately 30 square metres of grassland and trees alight. Hosereel jet and fogging unit un use.
