At 06:10 on Monday, 18 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wellington.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale.

This incident involved an area of grass measuring approximately 5m x 2m which was extinguished by Fire Service personnel using a misting lance from the incident support unit.
