At 22:00 on Tuesday, 19 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident was a controlled burn, extinguished using one hose reel jet, drag rake, thermal imaging camera and lighting.
