At 14:35 on Wednesday, 20 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bridgnorth.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

This incident involved a spark from a stack pylon which ignited approximately 20m x 50m of stubble and a bale. Fire service personnel used 2 hosereel jets and drag hooks to extinguish the fire.
