At 18:12 on Thursday, 2 March, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a fire within the engine compartment of 1 car on the hard shoulder.
