At 14:01 on Tuesday, 20 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Reports of car on fire on car park of school. Incident involved 1 saloon vehicle with fire in engine compartment. Fire was out on the arrival of fire service. School staff used 6 dry powder extinguishers to tackle the fire prior to the arrival of fire service. One male suffered smoke inhalation and ambulance to attend incident
