At 09:08 on Thursday, 1 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of car fire on the westbound carriageway. Thorough inspection from crews found no car on fire.
