At 09:56 on Wednesday, 28 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: Telford and Wrekin Council.

This incident involved 1 x long curtained van fully involved in fire.
