At 22:32 on Saturday, 26 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Wellington.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

One vehicle involved in fire with engine compartment completely destroyed by fire. Crews have used two hosereel jets to extinguish whilst wearing breathing apparatus.
