At 13:57 on Friday, 22 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Wem.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Wem and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Incident involves 1 combine harvester fully involved in fire. Crews are extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jet, 1 main jet and misting lance from Incident Support Unit.
