At 01:49 on Monday, 22 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Wellington.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Cutters/Spreaders
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

One car and one van involved in a fire which crews extinguished using hose reel jets and cutting equipment whilst wearing breathing apparatus.
