At 20:21 on Tuesday, 27 January, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Cutters/Spreaders

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 private car. 1 male casualty released from entrapment by Fire Service personnel using cutting equipment. The vehicle was also made electrically safe by Fire Service personnel.
