At 23:09 on Thursday, 26 March, 2015, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

One private saloon car 100% involved in fire. Two hose reel jets and 2 breathing apparatus in use. This fire is believed to be suspicious and police were called to investigate the scene.
