At 21:40 on Monday, 4 March, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Ellesmere.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Ellesmere. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One dog rescued from the canal by fire service.
