At 16:24 on Sunday, 31 March, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bales Of Straw Large in Pontesbury.

3 fire appliances including the Landrover Pump were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

1 arctic trailer carrying 40 tonnes of straw.
