At 17:48 on Thursday, 9 May, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as HGV Fire in Mile End, Oswestry .

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews were called to report of a HGV on fire. On arrival it was found to be a false alarm caused by exhaust fumes from the internal cab heating system.
