At 17:32 on Friday, 9 August, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) and a utility company.

Incident involved small fire in roof space caused by lightning strike. Knapsacks used to extinguish.
