At 01:35 on Wednesday, 5 February, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Car fire involving one saloon vehicle on driveway. 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and the thermal imaging camera in use.
