At 11:19 on Monday, 20 April, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving approximately 50m of conifer hedge. Three hose reel jets used to extinguish the fire.
