At 21:58 on Monday, 1 June, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Gobowen.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Oswestry and Wellington.

20 yearling Calves have been rescued by Fire crews from a slurry pit using strops and lines. They are all safe, and now in a holding pen in the care of the farmer.
