At 05:06 on Saturday, 8 August, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smell Of Burning in Princess Royal Hospital, Apley Castle, Telford.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington.

Call to smell of burning and fire alarm actuated. Crews investigated using ladders and thermal imaging camera and the cause was found to be in the IT server unit. Incident left with engineers on site.
