Barn Fire

At 11:26 on Saturday, 22 August, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Middleton, Oswestry.

2 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving agricultural building storing approximately two tonnes of hay. Fire extinguished using one hose reel jet and onsite manitou.
